Incontinence Issues By Lasting Impression - New Jersey
Health & Wellness Treatments
Incontinence is something that most people don’t want to talk about. And typically we think of it as being a women’s health issue. But men can experience leackage too! Here at Lasting Impressions Medical Spa, we know what you’re going through and have the answer. The Emsella Chair which makes use of electromagnetic energy is for patients with urinary incontinence issues including bladder control, incontinence, uterine prolapse, leakage, difficulty holidng urine and more.
Many women who have had a baby and even those who have not, experience some type of incontinence or issues with vaginal tone. Men experience similar issues but the statistics are reported far less.
The Emsella Chair is a non-invasive treatment used to help restore bladder control and strengthen the pelvic floor with electromagetic energy stimulation.
This revolutionary treatment is effective by evenly stimulating the pelvic floor muscles and building neuromuscular stability to significantly decrease episodes of incontinence while increasing vaginal tone and reducing the need for bladder surgery or pelvic reconstruciton.

Your Emsella Treatments
Patient’s are treated in the comfort of your own private treatment room in your own clothing.
Treatments take about 30 minutes and can even be performed during your lunch hour. Most patients report feelings of fluttering sensations while the chair contracts the pelvic floor muscles. Upon completing the treatment, you may resume normal activities right away without any restrictions.
Dr. Galope will determine the total number of treatments needed with the Emsella Chair however most patients need just six sessions.
Typically appointments are scheduled once or twice over a period of 2-3 weeks and with regular and consistent treatment, patients have experienced improvement after just one or two sessions.
Each session in the Emsella Chair continues to strengthen the muscles of the pelvic floor however should you ever feel incontinence issues begin to resurface, you can always schedule a maintenance session.
Following your treatments, there are additional changes you can make to help decrease episodes of incontinence.
Consider dietary changes limiting or even eliminating foods that are natural diuretics, reduce the number of caffeinated beverages you consume, schedule regular bathroom breaks and consult with your physician to find out if there are any medications that might be contributing to your issues.
Finally, please know, Dr. Galope and his trained team of experts are always here to help educate you on how to reduce the impact incontinence has on your life.
How Does the Emsella Chair Work?
The Emsella Chair uses revolutionary technology to rehabilitate and strengthen the pelvic floor for both men and women. Specifically it uses high-intensity focused electromagnetic technology to contract the muscles of the pelvic floor similar to the way a kegel would. The treatment simply involves sitting on the Emsella Chair and letting the chair do all the work increasing the strength and health of the entire pelvic area.
Kegel exercises and other pelvic floor strengthening exercises are difficult and time-consuming. Results often take extremely long times to see. Additionally, the majority of people who perform Kegel exercises do not perform them correctly even with instruction.
What Are The Benefits Of The Emsella Chair?
The EmSella Chair is a non-surgical and non-invasive treatment device for urinary incontinence in both men and women. Pregnancy and childbirth, women experience more stress on the pelvic floor muscles earlier in life. In fact, according to the American Urological Association, an estimated 30-50 percent of females experience significant urinary incontinence, which only gets worse with age.
Emsella Chair treatments are non-surgical and non-invasive. There is no down time to these treatments.
Quick and Effective
Treatments take a listtle as 30 minutes twice a week and results can be seen after just one treatment.
Since Emsella Chair treatments are non-invasive and non-surgical, they are also pain-free. You’ll feel a tingling sensation in the pelvic floor as the muscles contract but as soon as the non-surgical incontinence treatment is finished, the tingling will stop and you can go about your day.
Is EMSELLA FDA Approved?
EmSella is a totally non-invasive and FDA-approved option driven by the HIFEM technology.
It’s based on high-intensity focused electromagnetic technology (HIFEM) that rehabs muscles in the areas of the pelvic floor, adding health and better function of the pelvic area.

Kegel exercises do work and we encourage our patients to continue to perform them. However, results with the Emsella Chair are much faster. During one 30 minute session the electromagnetic technology of the chair can contract the pelvic floor muscles over 11,000 times!
Exercising puts pressure on the pelvic floor regardless of whether you are a man or a woman. Whether it’s lifting weights, jumping rope or high intensity workouts, some exercises are just too much for a weakened pelvic floor. Exerting muscles pressures the pelvic floor and urine can leak out. However, by strengthening the muscles you can prevent these leaks from happening.
There is nothing that exerts pressure on the pelvic floor like having a baby! In fact, most women who have been pregnant and delivered a baby say they immediately experience a weakened pelvic floor and some degree of incontinence. The solution is to strengthen your pelvic floor muscles with the Emsella Chair.
