Bergen County Zoo
The Bergen County Zoological Park (BCZP) is located in NJ, in Paramus at Van Saun Park. It’s the state’s largest zoo and home to over 600 animals! It became one of the first zoos in New Jersey to gain accreditation by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums. Located on 120 acres, it’s a great activity for families, animal lovers, and anyone looking to get outside.
The Bergen County Zoo, established in 1959 and accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums, is a family-owned zoo located in Paramus, New Jersey. We are a “New World” zoo, exhibiting wildlife from North and South America. The Bergen County Zoological Park has a wide variety of different exhibits including rare and unusual species. These Exhibits include Baird’s Tapirs, Andean Condors, American Alligators, Golden Lion Tamarins, and South American Pampas!
Bergen County Zoological Park is really one of the most wonderful places in Bergen County. It is a heaven for children and a great place to visit as an adult as well. This is especially true if you are fond of zoos, animals, nature, and fun experiences. The zoo gates welcome guests daily from 10 am to 4:30 pm.
You may find this hard to believe, but some people still don’t know that the Bergen County Zoological Park has memberships! It seems that even our most regular guests don’t often think about signing up as a member. And we don’t really know why because there are so many reasons why having a membership here at the Zoo is just plain awesome! Check out this page to learn more.
